What began as Hub Accra has evolved into a thriving part of the global Impact Hub Network: a movement of changemakers using business as a force for good. Over the years, we’ve built a bold, future-focused community of doers, dreamers, and disruptors committed to shaping Ghana’s innovation ecosystem from the inside out.

We work with Ghana’s most ambitious demographic—its youth—to unlock opportunities and tackle the complex social, economic, and environmental challenges of our time. From climate action to decent work, our mission aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and our approach blends collaboration, creativity, and entrepreneurial grit.

2013

From Hub Accra to Impact Hub Accra

In the heart of Osu Ako-Adjei, four bold thinkers created a space for Ghana’s rising generation of entrepreneurs. Hub Accra wasn’t just desks and WiFi—it was a statement. A signal that innovation could thrive here, on our terms, with our stories.

What started in 2013 as Hub Accra—a modest coworking space built by four visionaries—has grown into a force for social innovation across Ghana and the wider West African region.

2017-2018

A Spotlight on Global Recognition

Between 2017 and 2018, Impact Hub Accra welcomed a series of high-profile global leaders—including French President Emmanuel Macron, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and African business icon Tony Elumelu. These landmark visits shone an international spotlight on Ghana’s innovation landscape and positioned the Hub and reinforced our role as a catalyst for Africa’s entrepreneurial future.

2020

Deep Dive Africa—Innovation in Crisis

In a year that tested the world, we showed up. Amidst COVID-19, we launched Deep Dive Africa, a program designed to help entrepreneurs pivot, survive, and grow through uncertainty. It was a powerful reminder that resilience isn’t built in silence—it’s built in community.

2023

A Decade of Impact

We turned 10—and celebrated with Rewind Accra, a groundbreaking festival that fused art, tech, and social impact. That same year, we made history as the first African host of the Impact Hub Global Gathering, welcoming 90+ founders from 85+ cities. It was more than a milestone—it was a message: Africa is not just participating in the future. We’re shaping it.

2024

Race to Zero

Impact Hub Accra organized two Race to Zero festivals, aligning with global climate action goals. These events brought together innovators, policymakers, and community leaders to promote sustainable solutions, reinforcing the hub’s commitment to addressing environmental challenges through entrepreneurship.
